AMK Hub (宏茂桥城) is a suburban shopping mall located in Ang Mo Kio. It is conveniently connected to the air-conditioned Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange, and also it is conveniently linked to Ang Mo Kio MRT Station via an underpass. AMK Hub has 48,250 square metres of gross floor area and 350,000 square feet (33,000 m2) of retail space.
Jubilee Square – Prior to the heartland renewal that saw AMK Hub being built, there used to be four legacy cinemas operating in Ang Mo Kio Central which have all closed down. They were namely Broadway Cinema, Jubilee Cinema, New Town Cinema and New Crown Cinema (both shared the same premises of New Crown Building). Jubilee Square, previously Jubilee Cinema, is located at the other side of the town centre.
Broadway Plaza is located at yet another corner of the town centre. After going through several renovations it officially opened again in Q3 2012 with a variety of shopping outlets appearing.
Djitsun Mall is named after the late Mr. Lim Djit Sun, who was the founder of OE Group. The OEGroup comprises of five companies: Overseas Emporium Pte Ltd, Overseas Movie Pte Ltd, Overseas Movie Distributions Pte Ltd, Overseas Emporium Investment Pte Ltd, and SmartMediaSoft Pte Ltd. The building is located at 5 Ang Mo Kio Central 2, was opened for business on 1 August 2013. The new mall has four levels where the ground level has 3 restaurants and many retail shops. Harvey Norman occupies the entire second level to provide latest household and electronic products to the shoppers. Third level is occupied by Yamaha Music School, The Ballet School and other edutainment centers. The top level is where the True Fitness houses their latest fitness facilities and programmes for gym lovers.
712 AMK Way before any mall set foot in Ang Mo Kio Central, this was the place to go to. It used to house Emporium (now defunct) and we used to do our grocery and shopping here. That was way before when all the current malls were still cinemas. Now it houses a 24 hours NTUC Fair Price, which is a convenient addition to any township. Along with Block 712 are the various heartland shops around the area and presents various retail options. A truly Heartland experience!
